Giving your pet his own snoozing area gives you the ability to take back all of the space in your house that he has taken over.  You may even want to give him several places to call his own to keep him happy!

Many cat beds have a pillows made of fleece to keep them warm.  They are oval shaped and have high sides or they may be completely enclosed.  Cats like to find a secure, warm spot to rest.  For many, getting into the tight warm couch cushion seems like the ideal place.

You will find that some beds you can choose from are heated as well.  If the cat spends time on the porch or in other chilly areas, you may want to give him one of these heated beds to warm up with.

Have you purchased a great bed for your cat but he’s ignoring it?  Don’t be surprised at this.  If he just doesn’t seem interested, add a catnip toy to the bed to attract him to it.  Make sure that you place it in a cat friendly location too which will help to make it appealing to him.  Cats don’t want to nap in low places so you may want to put the bed on an end table or platform that is just a bit off the ground.  You’ll need to keep  it from being in the midst of heavy people traffic as well.  He needs to be able to relax and sleep there or he won’t want to be there.

Does your cat shed?  Place the nap mat where your cat normally sleeps and then store it when you have guests.  The cushions that are under the mat will then be hair free.

Some pets enjoy a perch.  These are padded shelves that have become very popular.  You can attach the cat perch to your windowsill so that the cat can look out the window at the birds or just bathe in the sun.

More than one cat can means more than one bed as cats are territorial and don’t like sharing their beds.  You may be able to look for a kitty version of a play gym or a cat condo.  These allow several cats to nap in elevated spots.  And, the cat condo has areas where they can climb and sharpen claws.

If your cat likes to nap on your couch cushions, giving him a bed is the ideal way to make him comfortable and provide him with a place other than your furniture to nap on!

Think that your cat needs a fancy set of dishes to eat from?  He doesn’t.  But, what he does need is something that is sturdy and durable and it needs to be easy for you to clean as well.  Cat feeders and bowls should be cat-proof.

One type of cat feeder is a type that refills from a reservoir as your cat drinks from the bowl.  These can be used to feed one cat for several days even.  You can use these to feed multiple cats too.  There are some disadvantages to using them though.  For example an aggressive cat can easily prevent the other shyer cats from getting enough food.  It is also harder to know just how much food the cat is eating so you may not realize if he is eating less than he normally does.  This is an important sign that he’s not feeling well and it can be a serious problem then.  Cats that are finicky may waste a lot of food by refusing to eat it if it has been sitting in the feeder for too long.

Another type to consider is the automatic cat feeder.  These have several compartments.  The feeder’s lid has an opening that will allow the cat to eat out of one compartment at a time.  A battery powers it to rotate the lid using a timer so that different compartments are opened at the set time.

Cat owners who are not around for a long period of time should make sure that the feeders that they use are large enough to hold enough food for the entire time the cat is alone.  This way, cats are cared for no matter what you are doing.

Cats who are territorial really do need their own dish.  Then, you can feed the different cats at different areas of the house.  When looking for bowls for your cat, make sure to look for those that can be put into the dishwasher as well as those that are not going to break.

Only have one cat?  Then look at a combination feeder that holds two bowls one for each food and water.  These allow you to keep the feeding organized and they are easy to clean.  The bowls can be removed from the feeder to be cleaned.

Some cats are picky and for these you may need to choose a heated food bowl.  These are a great way to provide local strays with water during the winter months too.

Make sure to clean the food bowls everyday.  Put them in the dishwasher if possible after throwing out the old food and dropping the dish in the dishwasher.  Don’t leave the food sitting out as it can spoil.  And, make sure to clean your cat’s water bowl daily as well.  Keep it full of clean fresh water.

When you do these things, you will provide your cat with a place to get their food that is clean, safe and keeps them happy.  This can help you to have a well taken care of cat.

We should check whether the bed is easily cleaned, as it will have to be washed from time to time or taken on trips. As everyone wants the best things for a pet, materials must combine luxury and comfort. Dog beds and cat beds are available in all sizes, colors and shapes, so why not take a little time to find the most suitable one? You should hoose a rounded bed if your pet is still small, or a bed you can use on both sides.

In case you are the owner of a cat, you must also consider that they have a different behaviour from dogs and also different needs. They are more sensitive and must be proteceted from cold weather. Cats should have beds that keep a comfortable temperature for them.

No matter if you want to spend a large amount of money or not, you will find a perfect bed for your pet. The only thing one must is have the patience to look for it. And our pets deserve it!
